Enjoy!
I got a request from someone to do a holiday shoot with Gigi, so this past weekend I checked out a set of lights and went right to work. The shoot consisted of about 2 hours of puppy torture, and honestly I didn’t think that I had gotten anything that was worth posting. Luckily for me, I found this gem, and it is now posted in the GTC Holiday Portraits blog!

Aww, two years ago, a little bundle of hard-headed cuteness was born. I am a proud mommy. Especially since I get to make things like birthday hats. haha
So, our class finished our executive portraits today. All I can say is that it is completely different fromwhat I’m used to. First of all, I got my workout in today from running back between building 100 and 700. Second, we have only 15 minutes to shoot our subject. Sounds like a long time, but from what my classmates and I are used to, 15 minutes is not nearly enough. I’m very proud of my classmates, though. It definitely pushed us outside of our comfort zone, and introduced us to a whole new world of photography. Pictures will have to come later, due to the fact that my external hard drive is only compatible with macs, and I am currently typing on a PC.
So, for now, enjoy the picture I have drawn from paint.
Miranda and I filmed our short for multimedia Friday and Saturday, and you know what they say, “all work and no play make Karin and Miranda very cranky.” So, naturally, we had a little fun in each others company. We both made sure to capture some bloopers, as well as behind-the-scenes stuff. We’re both very excited to see how our first film will turn out.
I would like to share with everyone a photo that I captured at the Pride Parade on Sunday. It took everything I had to take the picture of this clown, and as a matter of fact, I couldn’t zoom in enough so I had to get closer. I think Mr. Clown knew I was afraid of him. I don’t care.
Looking back on this photo though, I feel like he did a really good job with his makeup. Very impressive.
